Jack Russell Estates, your best friend in real estate gives back

Category Company News

Your community is important. It's a place to start a career, raise your family, and retire in comfort. It's your place to belong. At Jack Russell Estates, we're not just one of the fastest-growing property agencies in Gauteng. Before corporate social responsibility was a popular buzzword, we built a name as a real estate company that cares and gives back to the place you call home.

Jack Russell Estates, a socially responsible company

As a real estate company, Jack Russell Estates helps clients buy, sell, rent, or let out their properties. In this way, we're invested in the success of communities as places where our clients thrive and where we do business in. With our brand power and resources, we are able to make a positive impact.

You'll also find Jack Russell Estates' property professionals all share the company's altruistic values. Besides their expertise, they have strong ties to the community. They enjoy lending a helping hand to address the challenges experienced and make a difference.

How Jack Russell Estates supports society

Giving back is in our DNA at Jack Russell Estates. We contribute to several worthy causes on an ongoing basis from community safety, animal welfare, to social upliftment.

South African Police Service (SAPS)

SAPS works tirelessly to prevent and combat crime in neighbourhoods. They investigate incidents, bring offenders to justice, and participate in efforts to address the root of crime.

As a stakeholder in the safety of our communities, Jack Russell Estates often partners with the police department. Whether it's supporting or sponsoring various drives and sporting ventures, we ensure we pay it forward. Our local police officers often place their lives on the line in service to the community so we take pleasure in doing our bit to assist them.

Notably, Max Katz, our sales agent, is a member of the Primrose Sector Three Crime Forum. The forum unites the Primrose community together to combat crime and build ties with SAPS. With a visible security presence, residents in the area can rest assured that their families and homes are protected.

Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA)

If a stray animal is found, people often turn to their local SPCA. This non-profit organisation serves, protects, and uplifts the welfare of animals in South Africa. Their functions range from rehoming animals, sterilisation, investigating animal abuse complaints, to providing medical attention. The SPCA ensures that animals also live their best lives in the community.

With a company name that honours our favourite animal, Jack Russell Estates saw a 'pawfect' match in assisting the SPCA. The non-profit raises funds through a charity shop where they sell a variety of second-hand goods including clothes, household goods, toys, and books. Our estate agency uses our position to help supply the SPCA with unwanted goods from the moving in and out process after a residential sale is concluded.

If an owner is unable to take their pet with them, we go out of our way to rehome them. Over the years, Jack Russell Estates has adopted a number of cats and dogs which you'll see if you visit our offices.

Much of our SPCA-related press has come from our work with the Edenvale SPCA. We've assisted this branch with raffles, golf course challenge fundraisers, food and blanket collection drives, and selling boerewors rolls at markets. In 2021, our fundraiser outside Dowerglen SPAR raised in excess of R10 500 and donations of R2 000 worth of pet food.

Hope House

Established in 2008, this is an Edenvale-based rehabilitation centre for people that are recovering from substance abuse such as drugs and alcohol. As recovery is an ongoing process, Hope House helps addicts engage and reconnect with normal life and society.

Keeping the scourge of substance abuse out of our communities is an issue close to our hearts at Jack Russell Estates. We have a proud history of supporting Hope House through sponsorship, support, and spreading their messages on our own social media platforms.

Support Jack Russell Estates. Support your community.

At Jack Russell Estates, we believe in making an impact in the communities we serve in meaningful ways. By supporting our business as a buyer, seller, landlord, or tenant, you will be making not just a good real estate move, but a positive change in your area.
